Endowments to Hope International

The HOPE International Development Agency works to help improve the daily living conditions of the poor in developing countries by providing services to assist people in becoming self-sustaining. At the same time Hope works to promote international understanding of the plight of the poor in developing countries and undertakes activities to reduce poverty throughout the world.

Oak Lawn Marketing has been sponsoring Hope International Developing Agency, Japan’s activities since 2002 and working together to contribute to society.

In August 2007 Oak Lawn Marketing participated as a member of UNION* in the digging of a well in Roleab Village, Cambodia.

As a sponsor Oak Lawn Marketing provided products for the 7th Annual Hope International Charity Dinner & Auction held in February 2008.

*UNION (Understand Needs In Other Nations) is an overseas volunteer group that goes to developing countries to experience living conditions in order to gain a first-hand understanding of the plight of local people.

Endowments for "Kakehashi to Chernobyl"

As a citizens' volunteer organization,"Bridge to Chernobyl"undertakes a wide variety of disaster support services. "Kakehashi to Chernobyl" provides assistance to people, particularly children, affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Through their "Homestay Program" the NGO invites children whose health was affected by the tragic accident to Japan in order to receive specialized medical services.

Oak Lawn Marketing understands the purpose of "Kakehashi to Chernobyl" activities and has been sponsoring the organization with endowments since April 2008.

Charity Work: Sponsorship of the Annual ACCJ Walkathon

"The Charity Walkathon"

"The Charity Walkathon"aims to contribute to the welfare of the Chubu Area by gathering contributions which are distributed to local charity organizations. This annual charity event brings together the International and Japanese community in support of local causes. Since its inception over 17 years ago the Walkathon has made donations to Chubu Area orphanages and other local charity organizations.

Oak Lawn Marketing understands the purpose of the ACCJ Walkathon and as such sponsors the organization with endowments. Additionally, every year a large number of Oak Lawn Marketing employees participate in the Walkathon.

"American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ)"

Established in 1948 by representatives of 40 American firms, the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) has offices in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. Today the ACCJ serves as a major forum for the foreign business community in Japan to pursue and protect shared interests while providing current information. Over the last 60 years ACCJ has offered businesspeople networking opportunities, useful information and supported advocacy to assist its members in achieving success in Japan.

Giving back to the environment

Participation in the Smile Eco Program

New recycling and eco-friendly program undertaken by Net Off K.K. This new system allows people to recycle CDs and other items no longer in use by selling them through home delivery services. This convenient service means people can recycle efficiently from their own home while supporting and contributing to environmentally friendly NPOs.

Oak Lawn Marketing understands the purpose of the"Smile Eco Program" and since November 2007 has been sponsoring the organization by printing Smile Eco Program information on delivery boxes to increase donations to the program.
