After graduating from university, Nakamura worked for several companies before co-founding Oak Lawn Marketing, Inc. with Robert W. Roche in 1993 and serving as Senior Managing Director. In 1995, he established Interworld, Inc., a subsidiary advertising agency, and later served as Chairman of its Board of Directors. In 2011, he was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Colombia in Nagoya and has been actively engaged in promoting closer relations between Japan and Colombia.
